BBQ/Potluck Get-together
For those who did not show up to our last general meeting on Wednesday, you guys can pick up your T-shirts at our last social. The social is not mandatory but you do need to RSVP by June 3rd so I can get a head count of who's coming. We are going to have a BBQ/Potluck. So please bring food, games and utensils to the party. When you email me whether or not you are going, also include what you are bringing. Main courses will be provided but the games, snacks, and drinks are all on you guys. I will send out an email towards to date to let you guys know what we have and what we need. If you guys have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Some ideas for things to bring:
-cups, plates, spoons, forks and napkins
-drinks (soda, juice, water)
-ice and ice chest (it might be hot)
-chips, cookies, desserts
-finger food
-salad
-games
Rides might be provided but since the park is so close, you guys can walk, scooter, or bike there. If you absolutely feel that you need a ride and cannot walk, let me know in the email and I will try my best to find a ride for you.
Again, this is not mandatory, but i highly recommend that everyone comes because it is a great way to end the school year and take a break from studying for finals. Hope to hear from everyone soon. Good luck!

Relay For Life: Fight the Cancer!
When: May 30th
What: Fight Cancer
Please join us as we walk in solidarity with hundreds of others along the North High School track. Form the force to fight against cancer! On May 30th to the 31st, there will be Relay for Life fundraising event taking place at North High School in Riverside. Relay for Life is a 24 hour non-stop event, however, you do NOT need to be alarmed. The goal is a team of 24 members at least, which equates to 1 hour per person. For those you who wish to walk more than an hour... RIDE ON! Our community service chair Raymond has put together a "Team ALD" for this event. (More Info on registration)
PLEASE let us know if you can make it to the Relay. So please sign up! Help continue the fight against cancer. Help us form the support for the cancer survivors and help us find cure!

Induction Ceremony
When: 2/24/09
Where: Commons 355
Time: 6-7 PM
We will be inducting all the new Alpha Lambda Delta members for 08-09 at this special ceremony. We welcome all those who have signed up to come and their guests. Dinner will be provided and the winners of this year's scholarships will also be announced. The dress code is Business Casual, so please do not come wearing jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, or flip-flops.
Examples of Business Casual:
Men: Trousers, collared shirts or dress shirts
Women: Dressy pants or skirt, blouses and dress shirts
